1991 - present time: Head of NMR laboratory of Shemyakin Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry. Spatial structure of membrane and water soluble peptides and proteins, peptide design, peptide-protein recognition. Used techniques: NMR, ESR, optical spectroscopy, molecular modeling, molecular dynamics. Special interest in protein structure and dynamics by NMR relaxation and computer modelling.

1991 - present time: Head of Department of Physical Chemical Biology and Biotechnology of the Moscow Physical Technical Institute. Lecture course on NMR in bioorganic chemistry.


Main research interests:

NMR spectroscopy, Spatial structure and dynamics of water soluble and membrane peptides and proteins

Studied objects: polypeptide toxins (from bee, ant, scorpion and snake venoms), nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, phospholamban, bacteriorhodopsin, gramicidin A, trypsin inhibitor, metallothionein, ribosomal protein L7/L12.

Publications: over 200 in Russian and international journals and books.

1993 - Ovchinnikov prize in Physical Chemical Biology (Russian academy of Sciences) for NMR research of membrane peptides and proteins.
